Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before you play.

Is PSRoyale free to play?

Yes. PSRoyale is completely free. You can play as many tournaments as you like without paying anything. The game is supported by optional purchases of the premium gem currency and by advertising. Every feature that affects a match is available to free players — purchases only unlock cosmetic skins faster.

Do I need to download anything?

No. PSRoyale runs entirely in your web browser on phone, tablet or desktop. There is nothing to install. You can also add it to your home screen as a web app if you would like a shortcut, but it is never required.

Do I need an account to play?

No. You can start playing immediately as a guest. Creating a free account is only needed if you want to save your coins, gems, cosmetic skins and statistics so they follow you across devices. Registered players also receive a welcome gem bonus.

How do I play rock paper scissors as a battle royale?

Instead of a single throw against one opponent, up to sixteen players enter a single-elimination bracket. You play your match, and if you win you advance to the next round. Keep winning and you reach the final; lose and your run ends. The last player standing is the champion. Our how-to-play guide explains the full flow in detail.

What is the difference between coins and gems?

Coins are the everyday currency you earn by playing — winning rounds, matches and tournaments. Gems are a premium currency earned from daily check-in milestones and achievements, or bought directly. Both are spent on cosmetic skins. Many skins can be bought with either currency, so free and paying players can both reach the same cosmetics.

Are the skins pay-to-win?

No. Every skin in PSRoyale is purely cosmetic — it changes how your rock, paper or scissors looks and nothing else. No skin gives any advantage in a match. Winning is always determined by your choices, never by what you own or spend.

How do private rooms work?

Anyone can host a private tournament. You create a room and share the link or a short code with friends. As the host you choose the settings, including the bracket length, a separate best-of for the final, and whether coin flips settle draws. You can also set yourself as a spectator and simply run and watch the tournament rather than play in it — useful for organising an event for a group.

Can I watch a tournament without playing?

Yes. In a private room you can switch yourself to spectator mode. Spectators see the live bracket update as matches finish and can tap any match in progress to watch the throws happen in real time. It is designed for hosting tournaments for a group of friends or a class.

What happens when there is a draw?

In a standard match a drawn round simply does not count and you throw again. In rooms that use coin-flip tiebreakers, a draw can be settled by a coin flip, and a match still level at its final round is decided by a coin flip too. You always see the coin spin and land so the result is clear.

How do daily rewards work?

Checking in each day earns a reward that grows across a thirty-day calendar. Most days give coins, and milestone days (seven, fourteen, twenty-one and thirty) also give gems, with day thirty being a jackpot. Missing one day a week is forgiven so a single gap will not reset your streak.

Is PSRoyale suitable for children?

PSRoyale is intended for players aged thirteen and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. Please see our privacy policy for full details on how we handle data.
